Servo packaging axes run intermittent or short-cycle duty with frequent starts. Mass on the driven axis matters for settling time. Aluminium housings cut weight versus cast iron, while still delivering worm self-locking at higher ratios when the axis must hold position. Can you machine a non-standard servo flange?
Yes. Provide the flange drawing with pilot diameter, bolt PCD, and thread size in millimetres. We machine the aluminium input adapter or housing face to that pattern.
What ratios are common for servo packaging?
Many indexing axes use around 10:1. Other ratios from the 5:1–100:1 worm range are available; higher ratios improve self-locking if the axis must hold without a brake.
Do you offer hollow input?
Yes. Hollow input aluminium boxes are a standing special configuration for compact motor–gearbox stacks.
